Optional: let guests cover the online payment cost

Hotels can choose to add a clearly labelled online payment service charge for guests who pay by card or bank transfer. It's off by default and you decide, hotel by hotel.

Works the same for room extensions, food orders, event tickets and balance payments
Shown as its own line before the guest pays, and itemised on their receipt
Never applied to cash or the room tab, so guests can always pay the plain price
On Alejo OS's payment account it's set so you receive the full price; on your own gateway you set the percentage
Every payment records the amount and the service charge separately, so your books stay clean
You confirm the disclosure rules when you switch it on, and we keep a record of that
